Every Thursday you can linger later in our galleries and enjoy exciting evening programs. Wind down the week with art, music, performances, film and eclectic, eye-opening tours. March highlights include:

MARCH 7TH 7 PM BrooklynNites Jazz: In celebration of Women’s History Month, jazz vocalist Antoinette Montague performs original tunes and selections made famous by female musical icons. This program is hosted by Rob Crocker.

MARCH 14TH 7 PM Film: Girl Model (David Redmon and Ashley Sabin, 2011 78min.). This documentary follows the parallel stories of aspiring model Nadya and the jaded scout who discovered her. Film and Q&A presented in partnership with the PBS documentary series POV.

MARCH 21ST 6 PM Visitas en Espanol: Mujeres Poderosas en el Arte

6:30 PM Sensory Tour: “Work by Hand” Hidden Labor and Historical Quilts. RSVP requested at or 718-501-6486

7 PM Lecture: April Lynn James speaks on women opera composers active from 1625 to 1913. This program is made possible by the New York Council for the Humanities’ Speakers in the Humanities program.

7 PM Music: Indie Violin and Viola duo Charly and Margaux and flute group Flutronix perform.

7:30 PM Drop-in-Drawing Workshop: All ages welcome; no experience necessary. There is an $8.00 materials fee.

MARCH 28TH Artists in Conversation: Hyperallergic editor Hrag Vartanian speaks with artist Valerie Hagerty and Raw/Cooked artist Marela Zacarias about the ways their work references and remixes history for a contemporary audience.
