On Thursday, August 30th, West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA) kicks off the 51st Annual New York Caribbean Carnival Week (NYCCW) with Reggae | Afrobeats | Soca Unda Di Stars, powered by Red Stripeâ and hosted by WBLS Radio. This funky Reggae party features music Ambassadors Charly Black (Jamaica), Nailah Blackman (Trinidad), Ayo Jay (Nigeria), Linky First (Jamaica) and Brooklyn’s own Aquel J (Trinidad) & DyDy (Jamaica) all performing popular hits like Party Animal, You’re Perfect, Rock and Come In, Bumper, Baila Mami, O’ Lawd Oye, Your Number, Let Him Go, Special One, Pop Out and more! Music by Concert Kings: DJ Don & DJ Buka (Afrobeats), Kevin Crown (Dancehall), DJ Gringo (Reggae) and Triple 9 HD (Soca).

Friday August 31st from 11 am to 3 celebrates the annual Summer Jam: Stay In School Concert & Youth Fest.

On Friday evening from 8:00pm to 3 am the popular Brass Fest concert features Soca Ambassadors Destra Garcia & Bakanal Band (Trinidad), Motto (St. Lucia), Marzville (Barbados), Patrice Roberts (Trinidad), Dil-E-Nadan (Trinidad), Lyrikal (Trinidad), Farmer Nappy (Trinidad), Problem Child (St. Vincent), Turner (Trinidad), Freezy (St. Lucia), Skinny Banton (Grenada) and Brooklyn’s own Rayzor & Request Band in one huge outdoor party! Music by DJ Rashad, DJ Spice and more.

On Saturday, September 1st bring the kids out to “jump up” in Junior Carnival then cool down to the sweet sounds of steel pan music at our annual Panorama 2018 showcase.

On Sunday, September 2nd the Dimanche Gras finale includes Calypso Ambassadors, Lord Nelson, King David Rudder, Cultural Ambassador Denise Belfon, Explainer, Ras Iley and more along with the King, Queen and Individuals of the Bands costume presentations! *All events will run through Monday, September 3rd ending with the 51st Annual New York Caribbean Carnival Parade, on the famed Eastern Parkway “cultural row”.
