After twenty years Tyler Perry will end his portrayal of Mabel Earlene “Madea” Simmons, the tough-talking gun packing elderly black woman. Tyler owes the success of the character in part to his mother and aunts, who she is based on, but also to an actress who didn’t show up to perform a role in his play, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself.”

The nationwide “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour” kicked off in Oakland, CA on January 19th and will stop off at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn from Thursday April 25th to Sunday April 28th
“Madea’s Farewell Play Tour” will be Perry’s 21st stage play. The play will also feature Tamela Mann, David Mann, and Cassi Davis Patton.

Tickets are available at Kings Theatre Box Office and
